Country star Justin Moore says recording a song for the Motley Crue tribute album has been "one of the most random things" of his career - and also "one of the most fun things" he's ever done.

The singer tells "CMT Hot 20 Countdown" the invite from Big Machine's Scott Borchetta to contribute to the project took him completely by surprise.  He adds that he knew in order to sing a Motley Crue song he'd have to do his "own thing with it."  And that's what he did with "Home Sweet Home."  Moore explains that he definitely put his stamp on the song, and there's also "a lot of other things that come through" that fans probably haven't ever seen from him.

Justin admits it was "a blast to dive into this project."  He says he was so excited about the song, when he gave his commitment to Borchetta it was on the condition that "Home Sweet Home" be released as a single.

Moore's "Home Sweet Home" is on Nashville Outlaws: A Tribute To Motley Crue, which will be in stores on August 19th.
