Bark in the Park & Doggie Dash Returns to Animas Park
Farmington, NM –Get ready to head to Animas Park for a day dedicated to our favorite four-legged friends! The City of Farmington and Farmington Regional Animal Shelter (FRAS) invite the community to Bark in the Park on
Saturday, April 25, 2026
The morning begins with the Doggie Dash at 10:00 a.m. This 2-mile loop through the scenic trails of Animas Park is open to all ages and fitness levels. Participants who register in advance at farmingtonnm.gov/animalshelter will receive an official event t-shirt. On-site registration will be available the morning of the race starting at 8:30 a.m., though t-shirts are not guaranteed for day-of registrants.
Immediately following the Dash, the main festivities for Bark in the Park run from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. This year’s event features special adoption fees and an expanded lineup of activities,
including:
• Puppy Yoga: A relaxing and playful way to stretch alongside shelter pups.
• Adoptable Pet Parade: Meet local dogs currently looking for their forever homes.
• Games & Activities: Fun for the whole family, including pet-themed challenges.
• Vendor Fair: A variety of local vendors offering pet-friendly products and services.
