Alabama Takes Care Of Clemson In Sugar Bowl To Advance In CFP

 

Alabama is finding themselves victorious in a College Football Playoff trilogy.  The Crimson Tide defeated Clemson 24-6 at the CFP semifinal in the Sugar Bowl.  'Bama and the Tigers had met in the previous two title games with each program winning once.  Jalen Hurts threw for two touchdowns, one each to Calvin Ridley and defensive lineman Da'Ron Payne.  Payne also had one of Alabama's two interceptions, the other was returned for a touchdown by Mack Wilson from 18 yards out.  

Kelly Bryant completed 18-of-36 passes for 124 yards and the two picks for the defending national champs.

 It will be an all-SEC matchup in Atlanta when the fourth-ranked Tide face number-three Georgia next Monday.
