Machine Gun Kelly Shares First Trailer For His New Musical 'Downfalls High'

Machine Gun Kelly has had quite the year. The rapper-turned-rocker released his debut pop punk album, Tickets to My Downfall, in September, which also ended up scoring him his first No. 1 album on the Billboard charts. And instead of riding high on its success and taking a well-deserved break, MGK and producer Travis Barker have been hard at work on a musical that's soundtracked by the album.

On Sunday (November 22), while the rocker and blink-182 drummer performed during the American Music Awards, they also shared the first teaser trailer for Downfalls High — "a first if it’s kind musical film experience" that is set to premiere in January 2021.

Though we don't know many details about the project, we do know that it stars Euphoria's Sydney Sweeney and TikTok star Chase "Lil Huddy" Hudson.

During a recent interview with NME MGK divulged a little more about the film. “It was almost like shooting 14 music videos back-to-back, but with a narrative that’s outside of my personal life stories,” he explained. “It focuses on other characters, and then me and Travis Barker are just the narrators. It’s an interesting concept because it hasn’t been done for an album ever, maybe outside of like Pink Floyd’s The Wall.”
