Japanese billionaire Yusaku Maezawa is giving away eight seats on his DearMoon spaceflight.
Maezawa wants to take 10-12 civilians on a six-day lunar flyby that will circle the moon, it would be the first time anyone has gone to the moon since 1972.
Elon Musk’s SpaceX Starship will be the vessel used for the mission. The Starship is still in the testing phase a third prototype launched but blew up upon making a landing.
Elon Musk is eyeing 2023 for the DearMoon spaceflight to ascend to the moon, which is an aggressive timeline that more than likely will be delayed.
