Here's a sexually transmitted disease “wake-up call”

There’s a “wake-up” call being shouted out by the World Health Organization (WHO) for those of you who still don’t feel the need to wrap a rubber around your love missile. The shocking data came from compiling the sexually transmitted diseases contracted in 2106 from people between the ages of 15-49.

The number of new cases they found is truly jaw-dropping. We’re talking 376-million cases of fun stuff like chlamydia, gonorrhea, trichomoniasis, and syphilis…and by the way, never trust anyone who can spell those correctly unless they’re a doctor. When you consider that there are only 365 days in a year, you’re looking at 1-million STDs getting the golden ticket to existence each day. Have you bought your condoms yet?

Dr. Peter Salama– of course his name is “Peter” – of WHO says, “We’re seeing a lack of progress stopping sexually transmitted infections worldwide.” He continues, “This is a wake-up call for a concerted effort to ensure everyone, everywhere can access the services they need to prevent and treat these debilitating diseases.”

In case you were curious, these numbers are the same as they were five years ago. So, while they aren’t getting worse…they certainly aren’t getting better either. Wrap that sucker up before dipping into some strange waters, guys.
